PULSE
In today’s world, collaboration seems to have gotten lost in the individuality that came with being in COVID lockdown. It is time for artists to regain that sense of community and work with one another to propel themselves forward and onward. Making music is a time-consuming and arduous task that requires many different skill sets and tools that not just anyone has. As a designer, I used visual communication design to create a platform that allows musical artists to find the missing pieces in their own music. PULSE utilizes brand identity and communicative tools to make a space where collaboration is encouraged and celebrated, and inspiration is plenty.

Noggin: The New Way of Epilepsy Management
Life with epilepsy isn’t easy. It's a constant battle identifying triggers, adjusting treatment plans, tracking medications, and dealing with mood swings. For individuals 16-26 years old, they are also dealing with many transitions, which brings new pain points of balancing parent anxiety with individual independence, accountability, and potential new triggers. Current digital approaches are outdated, boring, overcomplicated, and none focus on this transitional group. Epilepsy management should be empowering, engaging, united, personal, and uncomplicated.
Noggin is a digital application that encourages individuals to take control of their epilepsy and take back their independence through fun and personalized medication reminders, daily mental health modules, and other resources. Noggin provides a quick way to log seizures and makes communication easy by linking contacts and connecting to MyChart. Noggin provides easy epilepsy management tools that allow individuals to get back to their best self and give peace of mind to friends and family.

FLEUR: Care Packages for a Purpose
Fleur is a non-profit brand created as a resource for all women in need to get free, accessible, care packages of basic necessities.
Women and people in need are not supplied at all times with products for their daily lives. This brand serves as an instrument to supply various institutions with care packages of those products to give out for free. Some institutions to receive these would include domestic abuse shelters, hospitals, churches, and more. Fleur is meant to promote community, collaboration, and a breaking stigma of asking for help in times of need.
This brand stands on inclusivity, discretion, and understanding. This is reflected in the language used and the overall branding. This project follows the entire branding of FLEUR and the care package design. Each step was curated to cater to women audiences to not be exclusive nor patronizing.

Las Vegas Scorpions
There is so much to do and see in Las Vegas, Nevada. From shopping on the strip to catching a Raiders game, and betting at a casino, touring iconic architecture and landmarks, as well as lounging by a pool. Las Vegas is fueled by its exciting atmosphere and heavy tourism all year round. So why not add an NBA team into the mix?
Las Vegas would be the perfect city to expand the NBA franchise to as it not only hosts the Annual NBA Summer League, but it is also the gambling capital of the world.
As sports betting is on the rise, it only makes sense that Las Vegas would be home to a variety of professional sports teams, which should include an NBA team. Through design, the Las Vegas Scorpions brand highlights the historic city, the players, and the fans. My goal was to create a team that the Las Vegas and NBA community will root for.
Through research on the city of Las Vegas and other NBA teams across the United States and Canada, I designed the key elements an NBA team must possess. This includes the brand, social media and website pages, merchandise, uniforms, print graphics, an animated mark, a mascot, an arena, and a promotional video.

Baby’s First Vinyl
Vinyl collecting has seen a resurgence in popularity over the last decade. There is a new wave of fan, one that strives to feel connected to the artist in more ways than what streaming has to offer.
But, it can be hard to collect vinyl. You need the record and a turntable, making the process of listening to music a two-step purchase. With Baby’s First Vinyl, each vinyl album comes with the player ready to go in the back of the album packaging, making this process one easy step. Each year, BFV collaborates with one hit artist to transform their album into an exclusive vinyl experience including a fully branded turntable and needle, special inclusions (i.e. photocards, lyric booklets, vinyl press), and other potential collaborative events as part of the marketing campaign.
This project is two parts. The first part includes the digital design for the album cover, the design of potential inclusions (i.e. photocards, lyric booklets, the vinyl press), a 3D mockup of the BFV turntable (used for animation purposes), and a 3D rendering of a pop-up shop for the collaboration. For this project, I chose to take one pre-existing artist, BTS, and develop a hypothetical album with inclusions and apply that design to the BFV turntable template.
The second part of the project, which took place during the second semester, is the physical construction of the BTS x BFV. This is a functioning model of the BFV album, comprised pf all the elements listed above.

Playground
Throughout my life as an artist and designer, I’ve heard sentiments from others about the intimidation they feel when creating art. Fear of failure and judgement creeps into our minds as we age, and the outlandish artistic expression we had as children withers away. How might we reconnect with that creativity as adults?
Playground is a drawing kit that invites small groups to craft an imaginary neighborhood using visual expression. Functioning as a relationship building and reflection exercise, Playground has participants use art as a tool for communication the same way we use writing or speaking. The kit guides participants through the creation of a neighborhood map that is a culmination of their experiences, desires, and hopes. At the beginning of each round, everyone picks an inspiration bubble that tells them what type of place to draw. Participants share the space on a large page as they respond to each prompt. As drawings of various made-up places accumulate on the page, the neighborhood is formed. The resulting neighborhood grows based on how each person interprets their inspiration bubbles. After every round, they discuss their responses to each prompt with the goal of learning more about themselves and each other.
